The region and in particular Rwanda, is experiencing a real estate and construction boom. Strong domestic and regional economic performance has led to higher incomes, attracted foreign investment and created greater demand for residential and commercial real estate. However, semi-skilled and unlicensed individuals often resulting in unsatisfactory workmanship and substandard work do most of the pre-feasibility, architectural, design, engineering and planning work.
